Spellwork and Reading FAQ

Do spells backfire or have karmic repercussions?

No. I have never had spells backfire or come back on myself or my clients. I do not believe in the three-fold law, and I would not do anything that would endanger a client or myself. I take what I do very seriously and protect myself and my clients from any energetic repercussions.

What information do you need to craft a spell?

When you book a spell, fill out the form that appears after checkout with your name and the details of your situation. 

Be honest with me regarding what sort of situation you want a spell worked for. Be specific about what your intentions are. All information that you share with me is strictly confidential and received with care and respect. I do not pass judgement on you or your decisions.

I may email you for a further consultation or confirmation before crafting your spell. Sometimes a different spell may work better for your situation, in which case I will consult with you. If you are unsure about what spell you need, or you don't find what you're looking for listed on my site, please contact me for a free consultation! 

Additionally, if you book spellwork with me and your situation changes, please reach out before your work is cast so that we can realign the work to match your current needs.

Do you contact potential clients first? 

No. I will never contact you first via social media offering readings or other services. You are welcome to reach out to me via email at newmoonesoterica@gmail.com.

What do I receive when I order spellwork?

Once the spell is cast, a detailed report will be sent to your email, including photo and video proof of your spell, as well as personalized advice to help you align with it. Please double check your information entered on the form at time of purchase to ensure that your email address is correct, so that you receive your report. 

 

When will my spell be cast?

I complete spellwork in the order that I receive requests, and I take time to ensure that each one is personalized for you. I give each spell the focus and energy it needs. Most are completed within a week, but it can take up to 14 days. If there is a delay further than 14 days from time of purchase for any reason, I will notify you via email.

What should I do when the spell is cast?

I work the spell for you and channel the energy, but your role is just as vital! Trust and believe that the spell is in motion. Stay open to new opportunities and changes. Be confident and move with intention by aligning your actions with your desires. 

When you cling too tightly, fixate on the outcome or search constantly for results, you strangle the natural flow of energy. Remain open to it and give it a clear path to move toward you naturally! Don't engage in activities that could sabotage the spell, such as worrying or interfering. Your report will contain personalized advice for how to align yourself with the magic to stay positive and grounded.

When will I see results?

Spell results unfold differently for everyone. Timing depends on several factors, including the type of spell, how closely you are aligned with its energy, and any external factors that need to shift. Sometimes the energy may move quickly, and other times it is naturally slower to develop.

Some people notice the spell's effects very soon, feeling a shift in energy and confidence, or noticing meaningful signs. For most people, results begin to surface within a few weeks as the energy has time to settle and shape real-world circumstances, creating new opportunities or shifts in perspective.

The deeper, more complex intentions involved with multi-layered situations can take several weeks to months to fully manifest, as they require sustained energetic movement and ongoing personal development. 

If your results take longer to appear, there’s no need to worry. Magic moves on its own timeline and may unfold in ways we don’t recognize right away. Staying engaged with your goals through practical action helps support and amplify the spell’s energy. ​

Can I place a custom ritual tool order?

Yes. I craft custom orders so if you are looking for a spell jar or candle with a specific intention that is not listed, you can book a custom order or email me for a consultation. Each ritual tool that I offer is handcrafted and personally spelled by me in small batches, never mass-produced. 

 

What can I expect from a reading?

My tarot and oracle readings are detailed, intuitive and performed by myself. I do not give generic answers, and I do not use technology for readings. I interpret the cards to give you honest, personalized guidance. I respect my clients, and I never rely on fear or false promises in my work. A tarot reading should support and encourage you, and my goal is to empower your journey!

What should I do when I receive my reading?

Simply reflect on the insight the cards have given and consider their guidance. If it resonates with you, take that and use it to move forward into your own power. Remember, you are the one who shapes your future!

What questions should I ask? 

You can ask about any life situation you'd like more insight about, with a few exceptions. Questions about love/relationships, career, spiritual guidance, and personal growth are welcome! However, I cannot give any guidance or definitively answer questions concerning health issues, pregnancy, or legal issues.

What do I receive with an email reading?

You will receive a detailed interpretation of your cards, explaining how they relate to your situation and your questions. I include advice and guidance based on the interpretation, including potential outcomes and insight. You will also receive a photo of your card spread. Please note, I do not need to perform the reading in person to give you an accurate reading, as tarot is an energy working that allows me to connect with you.

When will I receive my reading? 

Readings are usually performed within 48 hours of your order, but can take up to 5 days from the time of your purchase. If there will be a delay past 5 days from time of purchase, I will contact you. I perform readings in the order I receive the requests. I also want you to have the most insightful reading possible, and so I do it at a time when I will not be distracted or rushed. ​

Do you offer refunds if I don't like my reading?

No. I do not offer refunds for any readings or spellwork services because they are energetic in nature. If you are unhappy with a reading please keep in mind that the cards do not always give you a message that you want to hear, but they can reveal deeper truths. If you receive some unexpected insight, give it further time. The message may become clearer and unfold over time.
